You’re living like a cracked screen

How long have you lived with a cracked phone screen?

Go on...a month, a year, two?

[This is about health].

I bet it wasn't so bad at first.

 Annoying but merely a niggle.

Not serious enough to bother replacing.

Too much money, too much time.

But you're looking at your phone right now.

And you rely on it for most of the day.

---------------

My phone screen protector has been cracked and chipping for more than 2 years.

My first prompt to 'get help' for my phone screen protector was my preparation for speaking and networking at Ideas Fest 2022.

I looked at the health of my phone through prospective clients' eyes.

That day I walked into a phone repair shop.

They couldn't help because they didn’t have the stock.

But I'd found a new level of awareness which I couldn’t ignore.

When I got the phone, I had a lovely chap take such good care of it, carefully placing a new fresh protector on the screen.

I wanted the same for my phone this time.

I didn’t order it online.

I walked into 4 separate phone shops over 4 weeks.

Today’s repair shop had stock, fitted it and it cost me £9.99.

I’d walked past this shop over 500 times since my phone screen cracked.

I keep staring at phone screen with awe! Is that what I could have lived with for 2 years?

---------------

Do you see the parallel?

What part of your health is like my screen?

How many times have you walked past help even though it would have taken 2 minutes to check?

How many times have you put up with 'your new normal', not realising it was seriously suboptimal?

How many times have you thought it would be costly to get help?

How many times have you not known where to start?

How about..."I'll do that later".

---------------

If you are feeling suboptimal, but can't explain why...

If you feel too busy to do anything about it.

If you want to be uniquely taken care of rather than just 'another order'.

My door is always open.

I have 20 minute free calls with no commitment to working with me.

I encourage you to reach out, tell me how you are really feeling and get that off your chest.

You can then decide if you are ready to do something about it.

If you are, I will do something to support you, even if it is just a recommendation of who to approach.
