7a. Online courses: If you complete the course & at least five support calls, having put the suggested work in, but don't notice any positive improvement to your breathing or life, I'll happily refund you. I've not had to refund anyone yet.

7b. All other services: Once booked, the service is non-refundable. A 48 hour cancellation and rescheduling policy applies for confirmed appointments. Should you wish to move your appointment, please email jane@canidoitmyself.com more than 48 hours prior to your appointment.  If something outside of your control prevents you from attending an appointment, please email as soon as possible. It is at the discretion of the supplier to decide on a replacement date or service. Please note if you need to reschedule your Thai massage, you will need to do so 48 hours prior to the booking, unless you have to isolate last minute for COVID-19. Refunds are not available, except in special circumstances at the discretion of the coach. It is possible to defer the appointment or gift to someone else as long as 48 hours notice is given.

7c. Online courses: When purchasing an online course, you retain access to the course for as long as it is published. Access is given to group support calls. You have extended access to these calls for support with the topics within the course. Should you wish to progress your knowledge beyond the course, this would not be covered by support calls, but by further courses or one-to-one coaching. You are encouraged to attend group calls weeks, months or even a year after you complete the course to share feedback of how you have progressed or bring up any issues you’ve recently experienced. The Supplier retains the right to edit the course post purchase. Should you not be able to attend scheduled support calls due to work or time zone, you are welcome to email Jane Tarrant on jane@canidoitmyself.com to suggest times and days which may work. As the number of people purchasing the course increases, further times will be added and Jane Tarrant will do her best to accommodate.

7d. Online courses: The Supplier reserves the right to reschedule or cancel support calls where needed. Support will still be provided within a reasonable timeframe and for an extended period.

Advice

10. Jane Tarrant does not have formal medical qualifications as recognised in the UK. Jane Tarrant’s knowledge comes from certifications, personal experience, self learning, health memberships and experience of clients. Your health and wellbeing is your own to manage. You should only do something that you feel comfortable with and are always welcome to ask for more information or do your own research on a covered topic. If you have any serious medical conditions, you are advised to consult your GP or specialist consultant before undertaking any specific breathing training and to inform Jane. Jane Tarrant can give you an outline of what is covered so you can do this. There can be a disconnect between the knowledge and time of a GP and that of a wellbeing professional. Whilst a GP will usually ask less questions and will provide options available to them through the NHS, Jane Tarrant asks a lot of questions surrounding lifestyle, history and body awareness. Jane Tarrant supports clients by increasing awareness, instructing on healthy breathing patterns, carrying out assessments, providing hands on therapy based on Thai Massage therapy and providing support when approaching licenced health professionals to obtain further information and clarity. If you are pregnant, you should inform Jane Tarrant immediately as this will have an affect on what approach can be taken in order to ensure the safety of mother and child. If in doubt or attending an online event, please avoid breath holds during pregnancy.

Massage & Instruction

11. In order to avoid injury, it is important you inform Jane Tarrant of any serious health conditions or injuries which may affect treatment, training or coaching. This includes pregnancy which will affect massage and breathing instruction. Should you experience damaging discomfort during a treatment, please inform Jane Tarrant immediately. Jane will provide advice based on the training she has received. You should only carry out advice that you feel comfortable with, having checked with your GP or another health professional if necessary. Where Jane Tarrant feels that it would be beneficial for medically qualified practitioner to be involved in your wellbeing, she will inform you. As a certified gravity yoga teacher, Jane Tarrant may also provide you with some techniques to do outside of the appointment. Please only utilise these techniques if you are happy with the instruction given, do not experience pain and have checked with an appropriate medical professional where necessary.

Inappropriate Behaviour

12. Whilst Jane Tarrant is happy to discuss any topic in relation to your wellbeing, including taboo topics in order for you to make progress, inappropriate behaviour including sexual advances will not be tolerated. Should Jane Tarrant or any other clients feel uncomfortable with your behaviour, you will be asked to leave the appointment or group calls and a refund will not be provided.

Age limitations

13. Online courses are designed for 18+ unless otherwise stated. Should Jane provide any support to an individual under 18, this would be only under the supervision of an agreed supervising adult. Should a client appear to be potentially younger than 18, identification will be requested or a supervising adult will have to attend. Jane will only provide advice which is safe to carry out. It is the responsibility of the supervising adult to ensure that the opinion of a medical professional is sought if they have any doubts on the process of breathing retraining. Where orthodontics and face formation are discussed, this will be a basic education with the aim to help the adult to research and contact an orthodontist or preferably a myofunctional orthodontist. Jane Tarrant is not a qualified orthodontist and can only provide initial starting point education.
